Job description
Being part of the mining operations team, the Yard and Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness in both the outdoor yard and the indoor warehouse. They prepare shipments of heavy machinery, provide support to the storekeeper and the shipping/receiving team, and perform minor building maintenance.
Main tasks
- Respect safety standards at all times;
- Organize and store equipment and materials efficiently;
- Maintain order and cleanliness, including snow removal and seasonal yard arrangements;
- Inspect outdoor equipment and report any maintenance needs;
- Ensure logical and safe placement of goods;
- Follow storage and safety procedures;
- Coordinate logistics for shipments to satellite sites;
- Prepare equipment for transport according to handling standards;
- Verify shipping documentation and compliance with requirements;
- Assist with managing incoming and outgoing shipments;
- Support stock management and cycle counts;
- Any other related tasks.
Requirements
- Knowledge of warehouse storage and management procedures;
- Ability to handle and secure heavy machinery;
- Capability to perform minor maintenance and small repairs;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Fluent in English is required.
