Job description

Being part of the operations team, the scoop operator has the function of transporting ore from a loading point to a drop-off point.

Main tasks

  • Respect safety standards at all times;
  • Inspect the machinery before starting the shift;
  • Inspect work places, loading points and ore drop-off points;
  • Use and complete his work card throughout the shift;
  • Load the ore at the loading point;
  • Transport the ore to the drop-off point;
  • Unload the ore in a sterile or ore fall as required;
  • Inspect the machinery at the end of the shift so that it is operational for the next shift;
  • Enter the parking space for the shuttle loader at the end of the shift for the next shift;
  • Complete the daily report at the end of the shift;
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Underground hard rock Common Core;
  • Hold a valid explosive license;
  • Have a high school diploma or other equivalent degree;
  • Fluent in English is required.
