Job description
Being part of the mining operations team, the conventional drift miner's main role is to carry out tunnel excavation.
Main tasks
- Respect safety standards at all times;
- Inspect the work environment at the beginning and end of the shift;
- Use and complete his work card throughout the shift;
- Scale the work area before starting tasks and throughout the shift;
- Wash the walls (walls, back, and ore) before starting tasks and throughout the shift;
- Operate mining equipment (rubber-tired loader, tractor, shuttle loader, scissor lift, rail-mounted loader, scraper winch, etc.);
- Extract ore;
- Read and understand plans and specifications;
- Install ground support and mark the hole bottoms;
- Any other related tasks.
Requirements
- Hold the modular training of the mining worker: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-10;
- Underground hard rock Common Core;
- Hold a valid explosive license;
- Fluent in English is required.
